Before & After - Carl T. Curtis National Park Service HQ
On a recent trip to Omaha, I photographed the Carl T. Curtis National Park Service Midwest Regional Headquarters - a $12.5 million project by architect Leo A. Daly. In 2004, the collaboration of the developer, the City of Omaha, and the design team earned the project a LEED Gold rating, surpassing the Park Service's goal of Silver and garnering Nebraska its first LEED certified building. During my particular visit, I found the landscaping in need of a little repair. If you scroll down, you'll see the 'before' shot to see what I mean. This became a great exercise in Photoshop cloning and shows you what is digitally possible if the conditions of your building or site aren't quite right. In this particular example, I digitally removed a tower crane, a banner, two people, and a temporary fence. I then digitally added patches of grass where needed.

Cover Shoot for Prairie Business Magazine
Prairie Business Magazine is a monthly magazine that covers business news in North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Minnesota. Ryan Schuster, the editor of Prairie Business Magazine, asked me to work on a cover shoot back in early June. He wanted a high-profile project that will have a major impact in the local area. I proposed the Avera Cancer Institute here in Sioux Falls - the largest single building project in the City's history at five stories and roughly $90,000,000. He agreed on the idea and the rest is history. Check out this month's issue for more details!
